The Benefits of Cryopods in ARK

Cryopods are a handy tool for taming and breeding in ARK because they allow you to store creatures in a compact, energy-efficient way. Cryopods are also useful for traveling long distances because they take up very little inventory space. You can even store multiple creatures in a single Cryopod!

How to Use Cryopods

The first step to using Cryopods in ARK is to craft them. You’ll need to unlock the engram first, which requires level 51. Once you have the engram, you can craft Cryopods using a Tek Replicator or a City Terminal. You can also purchase them from the Tek Replicator for 3000 hexagons.

Once you have a Cryopod, it’s easy to use. Simply select the Cryopod in your hotbar and use it on a creature. The creature will instantly be stored in the Cryopod! You can then toss the Cryopod like a grenade to deploy the creature.

Here are some of our favorite Cryopod recipes:

Mei Fun with Cryopod Chicken

Ingredients:

1 cup cooked rice noodles
1 Cryopod Chicken (thawed)
1/2 cup diced carrots
1/2 cup chopped scallions
2 tablespoons soy sauce
1 tablespoon sesame oil
1 tablespoon honey
1 tablespoon rice vinegar
1 clove garlic, minced

Instructions:

Combine soy sauce, sesame oil, honey, rice vinegar, and garlic in a small bowl. Stir until well combined.
Cook rice noodles according to package instructions. Drain and set aside.
Heat a wok or large skillet over high heat. Add Cryopod Chicken and cook until browned, about 2 minutes.
Add diced carrots and chopped scallions to the wok. Stir-fry for about 1 minute.
Add cooked rice noodles to the wok. Stir-fry for about 1 minute.
Pour sauce over the noodles and stir-fry for an additional 1-2 minutes.

Cryopod Dino Stir-Fry

Ingredients:

1 Cryopod Dino (thawed)
2 cups chopped vegetables (broccoli, carrots, onions, etc.)
2 tablespoons soy sauce
1 tablespoon cornstarch
1 teaspoon honey
1 clove garlic, minced

Instructions:

Combine soy sauce, cornstarch, honey, and garlic in a small bowl. Stir until well combined.
Heat a wok or large skillet over high heat. Add Cryopod Dino and cook until browned, about 2 minutes.
Add chopped vegetables to the wok. Stir-fry for about 2 minutes.
Pour sauce over the vegetables and stir-fry for an additional 1-2 minutes.
