Soft and Fluffy Yeast Rolls Recipe
There’s nothing quite like the aroma of freshly baked yeast rolls filling the home. These soft and fluffy yeast rolls are the perfect addition to any dinner table, and will have your family and friends asking for seconds.
Ingredients:
- 1 cup warm milk
- 1/2 cup sugar
- 1/2 cup butter, melted
- 2 eggs, room temperature
- 1 package (7g) active dry yeast
- 4 1/2 – 5 cups all-purpose flour
- 1 tsp salt
- 1/4 cup butter, melted (for brushing on top)
Instructions:
- In the bowl of a stand mixer, combine warm milk, sugar, melted butter, and eggs. Mix until well combined.
- Add the active dry yeast and mix until combined. Let sit for 5 minutes.
- Add 4 1/2 cups of flour and salt. Mix on low speed until flour is incorporated. Increase speed to medium and knead for 5 minutes. If the dough is too sticky, add more flour a tablespoon at a time until the dough comes together and is smooth and elastic.
- Cover the bowl with a clean kitchen towel and let rise in a warm place for 1 hour, or until doubled in size.
- Punch down the dough and turn it out onto a floured surface. Divide the dough into 16 – 18 pieces and shape into rounds.
- Place the rolls in a greased 9×13 inch baking dish. Brush the tops of the rolls with melted butter and cover with a clean kitchen towel. Let rise in a warm place for 30 minutes.
- Preheat the oven to 375°F. Bake the rolls in the preheated oven for 20 – 25 minutes, or until golden brown.
- Brush the tops of the rolls with more melted butter and let cool slightly before serving.
